A Closer Look at the Qwik-Fold 3
We’re taking a look at the Qwik-Fold 3 Wheel Golf Push Cart. Since you’re the one providing the locomotion, a push cart needs to be reliable and steady. If the cart isn’t holding up its end of the bargain, it’ll be obvious within a couple of holes.
First Impressions
The Qwik-fold 3 is what is politely referred to as “minimalistic.” It’s a barebones cart without a lot of attachments. There’s not even an option to add a seat later on.
- The rear wheels are 10 inches in diameter and the front wheel is 9 inches in diameter. These wheels are fixed. It can make for a tough hard turn but being built with ball bearings, they move along smoothly.
- The umbrella holder – the lone attachment – is detachable.
- Frame is a lightweight aluminum alloy.
- Adjustable handle means you won’t strain your back.
- Its one-button push-to-fold feature means it lives up to its name.
- It can handle a load over 40 pounds.
- At 17 pounds, you can easily handle the cart through a round without feeling fatigued.
Who is this Cart For?
It’s suitable for casual golfers that are looking for a cheap and sturdy golf push cart.

Wheels

Size
Rear Wheels: 10 inches
Front Wheel: 9 inches
Width: 2.5 inches
The front wheel is adjustable from underneath. There should be printed instructions for doing this and an Allen wrench included in your shipment. This will help you avoid the “cart veers right” reviews that dominate Amazon.
Material : Hard EVA Plastic
The wheels aren’t too difficult to clean. You can drop some water on them or just brush them off before returning them to your trunk.

Cart Height: 45 Inches to the Handle
The cart does have a telescoping handle. It can be used by anyone from 5 to 6 feet tall without a problem.
Golf Cart Brake: Foot Brake
We know the foot brake, with its patented locking system, is supposed to be a highlight of this bag. Having said that, the locking mechanism can be a little fussy on the hills. Make sure it’s properly engaged before you walk away.
Frame Material: Aircraft Grade Aluminum
This is a lightweight, sturdy frame. Pushing around a 35 pound bag is no problem for this frame.
Weight: 17 pounds.
Really, the light overall weight and the frame’s tensile strengths are the highlights of the Qwik-Fold 3. Without a sturdy frame, you’re going nowhere real fast.
Straps
Bungee with snap-in clasps. Yes, this is something of a weak point. EVeryone knows that these bungee straps eventually wear thin and the plastic snap buckles can also wear thin, eventually getting to the point where they will no longer lock together.
As for set up: Some people find it easier to load their bag by laying the cart out flat and resting the bag on top, securing it, then raising it upright.
Storage
Folded Dimensions: 30 x 16 x 12 inches
The compact size of this cart turns most of us into true believers.

Good to Know
Warranty: One year. The cart has a one year manufacturer’s warranty against defects.
Restocking Fee: None as of this writing
Included Accessories: Umbrella attachment
No frills means no stuff. The umbrella attachment is all you’ll get but at least it’s detachable. You cannot attach a seat to this cart.
Customer Support: None. This is a good reason to buy your cart through Amazon. Pro shops will stock Qwik Fold if they know how to service a cart, but we don’t see a clear line to the manufacturer. When buying online, if you buy through Amazon, you’ll get all of the proper paperwork to return it if something goes wrong. Trying to find a customer service number, address – anything – for Qwik Fold led us on a wild goose chase.
What the World Thinks
Basically, if they can adjust the cart’s front wheel, those looking for a sturdy cart are happy with the Qwik-Fold 3. Owners of Ping bags will need to make adjustments to how they secure them. The easiest way is to set it up in reverse on the cart.
Most of the people who’ve had issues with the Qwik-Fold 3 seem to be those that have had no previous experience with carts. Seasoned golfers know all of the little tricks that can make life easier with a cheaper cart such as this one.
Our Opinion
If you’re looking for a no-frill three-wheel push cart that doesn’t break the bank, consider the Qwik-Fold 3.
The aircraft grade aluminum frame isn’t going to cave under load. Once adjusted, the ball bearing wheels will move your gear along without complaint. The only thing that you’ll need to keep an eye on are those bungee straps with the plastic clasps. They’re never a favorite but these can easily be replaced.
The folding mechanism and small storage footprint make this a golf cart worth putting on your short list.
